We believe there is a very strong connection between the landscape industry and the community.

>That each and every one of us is a "gardener" of sorts, and that in our gardens - that which we choose to grow - is defined only by our choices - that the size of our gardens are defined only by the perimeters we set around them.

We believe that we all are fully-equipped "gardeners."

>That the size of our garden is 24 hours high - 7 days-a-week wide - 365 days-a-year long...

No matter how we look at it, in today’s world, in today’s times, the fact of the matter is that the fortunate have an ongoing responsibility to the less fortunate...

The Two-Thousand Ten Commission is simply about helping others through community collaboration.
We are committed to helping the less-fortunate and making a difference on an ongoing basis.

Elm Court resident Pablo Alvarez was one of the most courageous people we have ever met in our lives.

A quadriplegic since he was 14 years old - he would live his life with incredible strength - always smiling, always thinking of others. He would surpass all expectations and live into his forties. In his final years, after an accident in his wheelchair and a subsequent stoke shortly thereafter - he would lose one of his only remaining faculties - his ability to speak.

Right up to the final days of his life he continued to smile and think of others...

We are truly blessed to have known him - are truly blessed in remembering him...

Significance

This Picture was taken by the Town Topics who graciously covered this visit by Marines in 2000. Little did they know the impact. Pablo's nurse would share with us later that he looked at the framed picture every day...

Pablo, his memory, would serve an instrumental role in the Princeton Community Housing 'Garden for Seniors' Project. The Garden for Seniors Project was covered by Ellen Gilbert, also of the Town Topics. The "seed" of publicizing all elements of the Project for others to see and hopefully replicate in their communities began with her time on a very cold day, her subsequent article on, in December 2009... In fact, if there is one person responsible for the website-manifestation of such, it would be she...

As a direct result - we would go on to create 'The Two-Thousand Ten Commission.org' website to accompany our rather straight-forward initiative at that point.

The Two-Thousand Ten Commission is meant to be seen by others, meant to be a ‘seed’ — meant to be picked up and ‘planted’ by others — in their communities...

Princeton Community Housing

To that end - we have adopted Princeton Community Housing and committed our efforts there for the decade ahead...
