In the summer of 2009, we were contacted by Princeton Community Housing about the need for a Community
Garden for the residents. We worked on a design with the Management Office and the Board of Directors as well as other organizations
and, in October, began work on this largely donated project. The Initial Phase of the Garden Project was completed in
May 2010. It is self-contained to include a patio with raised planters for those in wheelchairs, and a large garden area for
residents to grow vegetables etc. . A
Special Thanks to Libby Ranney, Kerri Philhower, Sandra Persichetti
and all the donors who made this project possible! . We completed this project on Saturday May 1st...

On Saturday May 1st, The garden was blessed
with a universal message for all. The "key" to the garden was then passed to Princeton Community Housing. Boy Scout troop 43 was on hand to plant a tree and complete the final
clean up. They will now adopt the garden and perform ongoing maintenance tasks and Eagle Scout candidate Mark Reed will plan
to construct work tables and a tool shed...

The recently established community garden for the senior residents is a joint venture between Elm Court
and Harriet Bryan House and is wheelchair accessible. Residents of the two facilities grow vegetables and flowers in their
own garden plots.

Elm Court was designed to serve Princeton’s low income elderly residents. It is located at 300 Elm Road in
the beautiful western section of Princeton.
